I make custom stones for one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry made specifically for you! I personalize each ring with your chosen inclusions (such as breastmilk, ashes, hair, sand, dried flowers, etc.), colors, and other creative details to make sure it reflects your unique story and style. No two stones are ever the same!

My current turnaround time is 7-10 weeks from when I receive your inclusion(s). This also depends on factors like custom settings, the time it takes to source materials, and the curing process for your stone. I will keep you updated throughout the process!

Yes! You can customize your ring with a variety of inclusions, such as:

- Breastmilk

...and many more! The options are endless. Please contact me if you would like to use an inclusion that is not listed to ensure I can accommodate you. You must send in your inclusion(s) before I can begin working on your custom stone.

All of our jewelry settings are made from solid 925 sterling silver for durability and quality. Some pieces are plated with rose gold, white gold, or yellow gold for an added touch of elegance and color. Please note that the plating on your jewelry may wear over time, especially with regular use.

Factors such as exposure to water, sunlight, and chemicals (including perfumes, lotions, or cleaning products) can accelerate the wearing process and cause the plating to fade or tarnish more quickly. To maintain the appearance and longevity of your jewelry, we recommend avoiding contact with these elements whenever possible.

Remember, all jewelry shows wear with time, and the gentle aging of your pieces can be seen as a testament to their love and use. However, if you'd like to restore the plating, any local jeweler can assist with re-plating. If you are looking for a nicer quality (14k etc) on a specific setting please contact me.

Absolutely! We offer a variety of fun, sparkly add-ins to make your ring even more unique. You can choose from:
- Metallic flakes
- Mica powder pigments 

- Chameleon powder pigments
- Chunky opal glitter
- Ultra-fine holographic glitter in silver or white (for a stunning rainbow effect!)  

If you would like an add in that is not listed, please contact me and I will do my best to accommodate your request!

I recommend sending any inclusions in a padded envelope via USPS so you are able to track your package.

Breast Milk: Please send 10mL (NOT ounces) of breast milk, thawed and double-bagged in milk storage bags, syringes, or cups to prevent leaks. Label the bag with your name. The milk doesn’t need to be fresh, cold, or frozen — old, warm, or expired milk will work fine. Ensure the milk is at room temperature when shipped, as it should not be frozen.

Ashes: Please send 1 teaspoon of ashes in a small ziplock bag or screw-top container.

Flowers: Send 2-3 fully dried petals in a ziplock bag with your name written on it. .

Hair: I’ll need around 20 strands of hair give or take, depending on length, placed in a ziplock bag with your name on it. If possible, secure the ends with a rubber band to keep the strands together. 

The process is fairly simple! Your breastmilk will be added to a special preservation powder that will turn your breastmilk into a paste. This paste is then spread out on a piece of wax paper labeled with your name and order number and set to dry. For added security, it will also be set in your labeled container while drying to prevent any mix up. This usually takes 24-48 hours. Then I turn that paste into a ground up fine powder using a mortar and pestle. Then put in a small ziplock labeled with your name and order number and placed back into your labeled container.

To ensure I never mix up any customer’s inclusions, especially something as important as breastmilk, I use a detailed tracking system where EVERYTHING is labeled. Upon receiving an inclusion, I cross-check the package with the customer's order before beginning work. Each customer’s inclusions are then labeled with their name, order number, and the type of inclusion, and stored in separate containers that are also labeled with your name and order number. Your inclusions will never leave that container unless I am working on your ring. This prevents any mix ups. Before incorporating the inclusions into the ring, I double-check the details and confirm everything with the customer. I will take a piece of wax paper and write your name and order number on the top and this will be my workspace for your ring. Once finished, before shipping the completed ring, I perform a final check with the customer to ensure everything matches the order and they are happy with the final product. This system helps me maintain accuracy and build trust with my customers every step of the way.

To maintain the integrity of your jewelry, it's important to avoid exposing it to lotions, perfumes, hand sanitizers, and other cosmetic products. These can damage the surface of your resin stones and cause wear over time.

Be mindful when handling your pieces to prevent scratches. Keep your jewelry separated from other items, especially those with sharp edges, to avoid any unwanted marks or damage. Additionally, try to limit exposure to sunlight, water (especially saltwater), as these elements can alter the color or texture of your stones.

To clean your jewelry, use a very soft brush with fine bristles to gently remove dirt. Avoid using harsh materials that could scratch the surface of your stones.

When not in use, store your jewelry in a dry, cool, and dark location, such as a jewelry box or soft pouch. This will protect it from environmental wear.

Gold and rose gold-plated sterling silver will naturally show signs of wear over time. If re-plating becomes necessary, take your pieces to a professional jeweler and ensure they are aware that the stones should not come in contact with any chemicals or ultrasonic cleaning machines.

Finally, if you’re storing preserved breast milk, make sure it’s kept in a dry and stable environment to ensure its longevity.

Storage and Disposal: Any remaining materials (ashes, hair, etc.) will be stored safely and returned to you unless otherwise instructed. We will discard any remaining liquid milk or expired preserved substances due to health concerns associated with transportation.

By placing an order on BoundByStone.com, you are entering into a binding agreement upon payment of the deposit. Payment confirms your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

• No Contract Until Payment: A contract is not formed until we receive the deposit for your order. Confirming your payment acknowledges your agreement to these Terms.
• Final Sale: All deposits are non-refundable. Once an order is placed, we begin the production process, and no refunds or cancellations can be made.
• Liability: BoundByStone.com is not responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of materials (including your inclusions) during shipping or production, regardless of circumstances such as natural disasters or accidents.

• Custom Nature of Products: All of our items are custom made based on your unique specifications. This means that no two pieces are exactly alike, and they are personalized based on your inclusions, making each one unique.
• No Refunds or Exchanges: Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are final. Once a deposit is received, no refunds or exchanges will be offered, except in specific cases where the decision is made solely at the discretion of BoundByStone.com. Any exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and we reserve the right to deny such requests if the circumstances do not warrant it.
• Failure to Submit Materials: It is your responsibility to send in the required materials (ashes, milk, hair, etc.). If the necessary inclusions are not received within one year of placing your order, your order will be archived and marked as "fulfilled." For example, if your order was placed on January 1, 2025, the inclusions must be received by January 1, 2026, or your order will be considered complete.
• Repair or Exchange: Should you experience any issues with your item(s) within 30 days of delivery, please notify us immediately. We will offer a repair or exchange for defects related to craftsmanship, but this does not cover damage from normal wear and tear. Any repair or exchange will be handled at our discretion.

Our custom pieces are intended solely for wearing and display. Please note:

• Keep Out of Reach of Children: Small parts may pose a choking hazard, so be sure to keep your jewelry out of reach of children.
• Health Advisory: Do not ingest any of the preserved materials. Leftover preserved substances, such as milk, may spoil during transit and could pose health risks if consumed.

• Preservation Resin: Resin used to preserve inclusions such as milk may naturally change color with exposure to air and light. Please handle your jewelry with care to maintain its appearance.
• Avoid Exposure: Avoid contact with water, perfumes, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage or discolor the resin and the metals.
• Cleaning: To clean your piece, gently wipe it with a soft cloth. If your jewelry requires replating or a deeper clean, a local jeweler can assist with maintenance, but make it known that the stone cannot come in contact with any chemicals.
